This week, Google finally unveiled the new Pixel Watch 3 at its annual Made by Google event. The upgraded smartwatch won't be released until September 10, but shoppers can already preorder the device at Amazon and Best Buy.
The new smartwatch comes with everything that made the Pixel Watch 2 great and then adds even more impressive features to make it one of the biggest generational leaps in the Pixel Watch line. That includes new fitness tracking capabilities, upgraded safety features and even more ways to integrate your smartwatch with your phone, TV and other Google devices. Tap one of the buttons below to get your pre-order in now or keep reading to learn more about the new features you'll find on the Google Pixel Watch 3.

As a smartwatch, the Google Pixel Watch 3 has added tons of cool new capabilities like the ability to view your Pixel phone's camera from your watch or a live stream from your Nest Cam or Nest Doorbell on your wrist. You'll even be able to use it as a remote to control Google TV.
As a fitness tracker, it's also become more powerful. You can build custom running workout routines, complete with warmups, cool downs or interval training. You can even set heart rate or pace targets for that workout and get real-time alerts when you go above or below that target. For runners, the upgraded motion sensing on the Pixel Watch 3 allows you to track more detailed running metrics like cadence, stride length and vertical oscillation. Use that data to perfect your form and improve your performance.
Each morning, you'll wake up to a Morning Brief that summarizes key health data like your sleep score and readiness score along with other essentials like the weather. You'll also get a custom daily target cardio load based on that information to help you better balance recovery and high-intensity training.
Previous generations only came in one size (41 mm). But for the first time, shoppers will be able to choose between two sizes: a 41 mm smartwatch or a 45 mm smartwatch. The larger size isn't just a bigger watch face, it's also a bigger screen area that allows you to add even more widgets to your home screen. That means you'll be able to see even more data at a glance, without needing to slide to different screens.
One of the most impressive upgrades is the new Loss of Pulse Detection. The new health feature can detect unusual changes to your blood flow that could indicate a heart attack or other health problems. Then, it will send you an alert to see if you're ok. If you say no (or don't respond), it can call for help. At launch, this advanced safety feature will only be available in Europe, but Google is working on getting regulatory approval to bring it to U.S. consumers, too.
While U.S. shoppers will have to wait on the Loss of Pulse detection, the Pixel Watch 3 comes with other important safety features you'll be able to use right at launch. That includes Safety Check, a timer you can toggle on that will automatically share your location with a contact of your choice if it expires before you turn it off. You'll also get fall detection and emergency sharing to quickly alert emergency services or your chosen contacts of your location and key medical information.
Prices start at $350 for the 41mm or $400 for the 45mm Pixel Watch 3. It's available in a Wi-Fi-only version as well as an LTE version that works even without your phone nearby. Prices start at $450 for the 41mm LTE version of the Google Pixel Watch 3.
