Rockies' Adael Amador: Not starting Sunday
Amador is not in the Rockies' starting lineup against the Reds on Sunday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Amador will begin Sunday's contest in the dugout while Owen Miller starts at the keystone and bats ninth against Reds southpaw Nick Lodolo. Amador went 3-for-4 with a home run, a steal and two RBI in Saturday's loss to Cincinnati, and the 22-year-old is batting .214 over 32 plate appearances to start the season.

Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Sitting Sunday
McMahon is not in Colorado's starting lineup against Cincinnati on Sunday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
McMahon has failed to record a hit over his last seven games and has gone 2-for-50 with a 41.7 percent strikeout rate since April 11. Amidst his struggles, McMahon will begin Sunday's contest in the dugout while Kyle Farmer starts at the hot corner and bats fifth against Reds left-hander Nick Lodolo.

Rockies' Nick Martini: Sitting Sunday vs. southpaw
Martini is not in the Rockies' starting lineup against the Reds on Sunday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Southpaw Nick Lodolo will take to the hill for the Reds on Sunday, so the lefty-hitting Martini will begin the contest in the dugout while Sean Bouchard starts in right field and bats sixth. Martini is in the midst of a mini-slump, having gone 0-for-14 with one run scored and one RBI over his last six games.

Rockies' Lucas Gilbreath: DFA'd by Colorado
The Rockies designated Gilbreath for assignment Sunday.
The move makes room on the 40-man roster for Alan Trejo, who was traded by the Rangers to the Rockies on Saturday. Gilbreath started the season with Triple-A Albuquerque, and in seven games out of the bullpen he has logged a 2.70 ERA, 2.10 WHIP and 5:4 K:BB across 6.2 innings. The 29-year-old southpaw could be claimed off waivers by a team looking to add left-handed depth to its bullpen.

Rockies' Jaden Hill: Optioned to Triple-A
The Rockies optioned Hill to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.
The move makes room on the 26-man roster for Bradley Blalock, who will start against the Reds on Sunday. Hill has made three appearances out of the Rockies bullpen this season, allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out five across 2.2 innings. The 25-year-old could return to the majors this season if the Rockies need right-handed depth in the bullpen.

Rockies' Braxton Fulford: Returning to Triple-A
The Rockies optioned Fulford to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.
Fulford was recalled to the Rockies on Saturday to take the spot on the active roster vacated by Aaron Schunk (groin), but the former will return to Triple-A after the Rockies selected Alan Trejo's contract from Albuquerque. Fulford has a 1.345 OPS across 44 plate appearances in Triple-A and could return to the majors if Hunter Goodman or Jacob Stallings are sidelined for an extended period of time.

Rockies' Ryan Feltner: Working through back issue
Feltner (back) will not start against the Reds on Sunday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Feltner told reporters that he felt his back tighten up two days after his last outing against the Royals this past Tuesday. He was originally slated to start in Sunday's series finale, but he'll have his start pushed back to Monday to get an extra day of rest. Bradley Blalock was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque and will start against Cincinnati.

Rockies' Bradley Blalock: Recalled, starting Sunday
The Rockies recalled Blalock from Triple-A Albuquerque, and he'll start against the Reds on Sunday.
Blalock competed for the No. 5 starting spot in the Rockies' rotation during spring training, and while he made the Opening Day roster, the 24-year-old right-hander's two outings came from out of the bullpen. Blalock has started in three games in Triple-A this season and will give the Rockies' rotation an extra day of rest by starting in Sunday's series finale. Blalock started in six games for Colorado in 2024, posting a 1-3 record with a 6.07 ERA, 1.82 WHIP and 20:19 K:BB across 29.2 innings.

Rockies' Alan Trejo: Joining big club
The Rockies selected Trejo's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.
Trejo was acquired by the Rockies from the Rangers on Saturday in exchange for cash considerations, and the 28-year-old infielder will join Colorado's 26-man roster ahead of Sunday's series finale against the Reds. He appeared in 28 games for the Rockies in 2024, posting a .143/.182/.143 slash line with four runs scored and one RBI in 67 plate appearances.

Rockies' Michael Toglia: Pops second homer
Toglia went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run Saturday against the Reds.
Toglia has come alive at the plate to begin the Rockies' homestand, collecting five hits across nine games with five RBI in the first two games. He popped his second homer of the season Saturday, taking Hunter Greene yard. Despite the recent success, Toglia is still striking out at a concerning 41.2 percent clip across 94 plate appearances.

Rockies' Adael Amador: Homer, steal in loss
Amador went 3-for-4 with a homer, a double, a steal and two RBI in Saturday's 6-4 loss to Cincinnati.
The 22-year-old made his third consecutive start at second base and popped his first MLB homer off Hunter Greene in the fifth inning. Amador also pilfered his first bag of the season earlier in the game. The switch hitter should continue to get regular playing time with the Rockies as long as Ezequiel Tovar (hip) remains on the injured list.

Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: Takes fourth loss
Senzatela (1-4) took the loss Saturday against the Reds, allowing four runs on eight hits and no walks over five innings. He struck out four.
The Colorado right-hander yielded a season-worst three homers, as he allowed four or more runs for the third time in his four starts. Senzatela remains a bottom-of-the-barrel fantasy option, sporting an unsightly 5.22 ERA, 1.87 WHIP 13:5 K:BB across 29.1 innings. He has allowed an MLB-worst 50 hits this season. Senzatela is currently slated to make his next start against the Giants on the road next weekend.

Rockies' Alan Trejo: Traded to Colorado
The Rangers traded Trejo to the Rockies on Saturday for cash considerations, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Trejo, who has spent the entire 2025 season with Triple-A Round Rock, will head to the Rockies and is expected to have his contract selected ahead of Sunday's game against the Reds. It's a return to Colorado for Trejo, who played for the Rockies from 2020 to 2024 before signing a minor-league deal with the Rangers in December. He was slashing .211/.247/.352 with one stolen base and 13 RBI in 77 plate appearances in Triple-A.

Rockies' Ezequiel Tovar: Returning in early May
Manager Bud Black said Saturday that Tovar (hip) is 7-to-10 days from returning, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
Tovar was placed on the 10-day IL on April 19 with a hip contusion. The Rockies were already down Thairo Estrada (wrist) in the middle infield, and Aaron Schunk (groin) landed on the shelf Saturday. In the meantime, Kyle Farmer and Adael Amador figure to play regularly in the middle infield.

Rockies' Brenton Doyle: Back in lineup
Doyle (personal) will start in center field and bat leadoff Saturday against the Reds, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.
Doyle sat out Friday's series opener for personal reasons, but he's back in the starting nine Saturday. The 26-year-old is having a nice year at the plate so far, slashing .295/.353/.492 with 13 RBI, eight runs scored and two steals through 16 games.

Rockies' Braxton Fulford: Back in majors
Fulford was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.
He was optioned just Friday but was quickly added back to the active roster after Aaron Schunk (groin strain) landed on the injured list. This will free up Hunter Goodman for more work at designated hitter in the short term. Fulford has one home run and five strikeouts in eight MLB plate appearances.

Rockies' Aaron Schunk: Heads to IL
Schunk was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a left groin strain.
Schunk had moved into a regular role, at least in the short term with Ezequiel Tovar (hip) on the shelf. Back in 2024, Schunk saw the bulk of his work at third base and second base, but with Tovar out, Schunk received all seven of his starts at shortstop. Kyle Farmer and Adael Amador should handle the middle-infield duties until Tovar and or Schunk are healthy.
