Hawks' Asa Newell: Iffy to face LAL
Newell (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Lakers.
Newell sustained a right quadriceps contusion in the second quarter of Sunday's win over the Warriors and was unable to return. Now, he's in jeopardy of missing Tuesday's contest. If the rookie first-rounder is ultimately ruled out, Mouhamed Gueye could see a slight bump in minutes.

Hawks' Zaccharie Risacher: Iffy for Tuesday
Risacher (knee) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Lakers.
The fact that Risacher has been upgraded to questionable is an indication that he's closing in on a return. He's missed Atlanta's last two games due to left knee inflammation, and his status for Tuesday figures to be determined based on how he fares during shootaround and potentially, pre-game warmups.

Hawks' Kristaps Porzingis: Ruled out for Tuesday
Porzingis (Achilles) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Lakers.
Porzingis will miss his third consecutive game due to left Achilles tendinitis, and his next opportunity to play will come Thursday against Portland. With the veteran big man sidelined, Mouhamed Gueye and Asa Newell (quadriceps), who is listed as questionable, are candidates for increased playing time.

Hawks' Luke Kennard: Added to injury report
Kennard is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Lakers due to a neck sprain.
Kennard put together a strong showing Sunday against the Warriors but evidently came away from the matchup with an injury. The team should have a better idea of his availability closer to tipoff.

Hawks' Corey Kispert: Quiet in team debut
Kispert (hamstring) registered two points (0-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one steal over 14 minutes during Sunday's 124-111 win over Golden State.
Kispert made his team debut Sunday, coming off the bench alongside fellow Hawks newcomer CJ McCollum. The 26-year-old forward has made just three appearances since the start of December due to a hamstring strain, so it could be difficult to gauge how his role will look with his new squad until his restrictions are loosened.

Hawks' CJ McCollum: Modest production in team debut
McCollum amassed 12 points (5-14 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four assists and one steal in 24 minutes off the bench during Sunday's 124-111 victory over the Warriors.
McCollum made his Hawks debut Sunday after being acquired Friday in the deal that sent Trae Young to the Wizards. After he had started in each of his 35 appearances with Washington while averaging 30.9 minutes per contest, McCollum was deployed on the second unit Sunday and predictably saw a reduction in his playing time. The 34-year-old still looks to be worthy of holding in most leagues for the time being, but if he ends up sticking in a 20-to-25-minute bench role with the Hawks on a more permanent basis, fantasy managers in shallower formats may be best served moving on from him.

Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Strong contributor in win
Alexander-Walker notched 24 points (9-18 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three steals, two rebounds and two assists across 34 minutes during Sunday's 124-111 victory over the Warriors.
Alexander-Walker was one of three Hawks to top 20 points in Sunday's double-digit road win. The 27-year-old has been confident firing from deep, knocking down at least three triples in seven of the past 10 games. It's been a true breakout in the guard's first season with Atlanta, as he's averaging 20.6 points through 39 appearances after posting single-digit scoring averages in each of the previous three regular seasons.

Hawks' Onyeka Okongwu: Flirts with triple-double in win
Okongwu posted 18 points (6-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 12 rebounds, eight assists and two steals across 34 minutes during Sunday's 124-111 victory over Golden State.
Okongwu filled the stat sheet Sunday with a double-double and fell two assists shy of his first career triple-double, though the eight dimes still marked a career high. Long praised for his interior presence, the 25-year-old has taken a noticeable step forward offensively this season, averaging 16.3 points and 3.4 assists through 39 games (28 starts) after posting 13.4 points and 2.3 assists across 74 regular-season contests last year. While prolific scoring may never be his calling card, Okongwu's expanded offensive impact has been a welcome development for Atlanta.

Hawks' Luke Kennard: Erupts for 22 points
Kennard racked up 22 points (8-11 FG, 6-9 3Pt), one rebound and one assist in 20 minutes during Sunday's 124-111 victory over the Warriors.
Kennard exited in the second quarter due to a neck injury but returned and caught fire, pouring in a season-high 22 points while drilling a game-high six three-pointers. The veteran's minutes have fluctuated in a reserve role across all 36 appearances this season, but elite perimeter shooting remains his calling card, as the Duke product is connecting on 47.5 percent from deep and hasn't finished below 40.0 percent since the 2019-20 campaign.

Hawks' Asa Newell: Leaves early with quad injury
Newell was unable to return to Sunday's 124-111 win over the Warriors after exiting with 4:16 in the second quarter due to a right quadriceps contusion. He finished with one rebound and one block over four minutes while missing his lone three-point attempt.
Newell will likely undergo further tests as the Hawks look to determine the severity of his injury, but for the time being, the rookie first-round pick's availability for Tuesday's game against the Lakers is in jeopardy. He had been on the fringe of the Atlanta rotation heading into Sunday, and even if Newell doesn't need to miss further time, he could nonetheless see his minutes disappear if Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) and Zaccharie Risacher (knee) are both available Tuesday.

Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Fills box score in Sunday's win
Johnson finished Sunday's 124-111 win over the Warriors with 23 points (9-16 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT), 11 rebounds, six assists, two blocks and one steal over 33 minutes.
Johnson once again did a little bit of everything during Sunday's win, finishing second on the Hawks in points, rebounds and assists. He recorded his 26th double double of the season, which is tied with Karl-Anthony Towns for second most in the Association behind Nikola Jokic's (knee) 28. Through the first six games of January, Johnson has averaged 22.0 points, 9.8 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.8 threes over 35.8 minutes per game.

Hawks' Asa Newell: Leaves game with quad injury
Newell is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Warriors due to a right quadriceps contusion.
Newell checked out at the 4:16 mark of the second quarter, logging one rebound and one block over four minutes prior to his exit. Mouhamed Gueye and Corey Kispert could both see a slight uptick in minutes off the bench for as long as Newell is out of the game.

Hawks' Luke Kennard: Available to return
Kennard (neck) is available to return to Sunday's game against the Warriors.
Kennard went to the locker room in the second quarter to be evaluated for a neck injury. He has been cleared by medical staff to return to Sunday's game.

Hawks' Luke Kennard: Exits game with neck injury
Kennard is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Warriors due to a neck injury, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Kennard went to the locker room during the second quarter of Sunday's game, logging four points (2-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one rebound over nine minutes prior to his exit. New acquisitions CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert are in line for more minutes off the bench for as long as Kennard is out of the game.

Hawks' Kristaps Porzingis: Ruled out Sunday
Porzingis (Achilles) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Warriors.
Porzingis will miss his second consecutive contest due to left Achilles tendinitis. His next opportunity to suit up will come Tuesday against the Lakers. With the veteran center unavailable, Asa Newell and Mouhamed Gueye are candidates for increased minutes off the bench.

Hawks' Zaccharie Risacher: Won't suit up Sunday
Risacher (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Warriors.
Risacher will miss his second consecutive contest due to left knee inflammation, and his next chance to play will come Tuesday against the Lakers. With the second-year forward sidelined, Vit Krejci, Luke Kennard and Corey Kispert are candidates for increased minutes.

Hawks' Corey Kispert: Available for team debut
Kispert (not with team) is not on the injury report for Sunday's game against the Warriors.
Kispert's trade to Atlanta was finalized Friday, and the sharpshooting veteran will be available to make his Hawks debut Sunday. Kispert averaged 9.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game while shooting 39.5 percent from three-point range in 19 regular-season games (two starts) with the Wizards before the trade.

Hawks' CJ McCollum: Off injury report for Sunday
McCollum (not with team) isn't listed on the injury report for Sunday's game against the Warriors.
After being acquired via trade from Washington, McCollum is set to make his Hawks debut against Golden State. Across 35 regular-season appearances (all starts) with the Wizards, the veteran guard averaged 18.8 points, 3.6 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.7 three-pointers in 30.9 minutes per contest.
