Rockets' Clint Capela: Another quiet outing
Capela finished with four points (2-4 FG), four rebounds and one steal over seven minutes during Sunday's 122-115 victory over the Bucks.
Capela has not been a factor in Houston's rotation, averaging 10.0 minutes per game and remains behind Alperen Sengun and Steven Adams on the depth chart. As long as those two are healthy, it appears that Capela will continue to operate as the team's third-string center.

The 16 points tied his season high, a mark he just reached Friday against the Spurs, and Sheppard's four steals set a new personal best for 2025-26. The fourth-year forward just missed recording his first double-double of the season, but he did set a new season high on the glass. Smith has scored in double digits in seven of eight contests to begin the season, averaging 14.0 points, 5.9 boards, 2.0 threes, 1.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.9 blocks in 32.9 minutes a game.

Sengun finished with 23 points (10-15 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 11 rebounds and seven assists over 40 minutes during Sunday's 122-115 victory over Milwaukee.
The fifth-year center came up a few dimes short of his ninth career triple-double, instead settling for his fifth double-double in nine games this season. Sengun has scored at least 20 points in four straight contests and dished at least six assists in every game so far in 2025-26, averaging 22.8 points, 9.9 boards, 7.3 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.2 threes and 0.8 blocks to begin the campaign.

Rockets' Kevin Durant: Hits for 31 in comeback win
Durant finished Sunday's 122-115 victory over the Bucks with 31 points (11-15 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 7-9 FT), three rebounds and seven assists across 37 minutes.
The Rockets trailed for most of the game and were down 108-100 with just under five minutes left in the fourth quarter, but Durant helped lead a comeback and put his team ahead for good at 115-113 with 1:42 left on the clock. It's the third time in nine games that the 37-year-old forward has scored more than 30 points, while the seven assists were a season high. Durant is averaging 24.8 points, 4.6 boards, 3.1 assists, 1.7 threes, 1.0 steals and 0.8 blocks to begin his tenure with Houston.

Rockets' Dorian Finney-Smith: Remains without return timetable
Finney-Smith (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Milwaukee and doesn't have a return timetable.
Finney-Smith underwent left ankle surgery back in June, and the Rockets have provided scarce updates on his status ever since. On Oct. 18, head coach Ime Udoka toldMichael Shapiro of SI.com that Finney-Smith was behind schedule in his recovery, but the Rockets haven't offered up any sort of timeline regarding when the veteran forward might play. Consider Finney-Smith week-to-week until the Rockets indicate that he's resumed practicing.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Flirts with triple-double in loss
Sengun contributed 25 points (10-22 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), nine rebounds, eight assists, one block and one steal across 36 minutes during Friday's 121-110 loss to San Antonio.
Sengun went to work banging in the post with Victor Wembanyama Friday night, and he helped hold the Spurs' superstar to a modest 22 points. Sengun is having a superb season in Houston, hitting career-highs in points (22.8), dimes (7.4), steals (1.5) and free throw percentage (74.6), and he's showing no signs of slowing down.

Durant provided 24 points (8-18 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 7-7 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal over 37 minutes during Friday's 121-110 loss to San Antonio.
Durant was coming off a game in which he was held to a season-low 11 points on 5-18 shooting, and while he got things back on track in the scoring department in this one, he also committed a season-high eight turnovers. As a team, the Rockets conceded a season-high 33 points off 23 turnovers, which ended their five-game win streak. Through 18 years and 1131 games of NBA experience, Durant has only had 18 such instances where he's turned the ball over eight-plus times in a single game.

Adams (hip) has been cleared to play in Friday's game against the Spurs, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.
After missing Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies with a hip issue, Adams will get back on the floor. The veteran big man is currently averaging 6.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.0 steals per game, shooting 66.7 percent from the field.

Okogie has worked wonders for the Rockets since joining the starting lineup, averaging 9.4 points, 1.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.0 threes made in five games (Houston is 5-0 in that stretch). In a lineup headlined by Kevin Durant, Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson, Okogie is not needed to score as much offensively but is capable of hitting open shots if necessary, shooting 51.7 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from three in those five starts.

Durant delivered his worst game of the season so far in this win over the Grizzlies, posting a season-low output in points and field goals made while attempting 18 shots -- his second-highest mark of the season. There's a strong chance this might have been nothing more than an off game for the veteran scorer, as he had recorded at least 19 points in each of his previous six games to start his Rockets tenure on a strong note. Durant will aim to bounce back when the Rockets take on the Spurs on Friday.

Eason closed Wednesday's 124-109 win over Memphis with 16 points (5-13 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 32 minutes.
Eason returned to the bench for this game since Jabari Smith (ankle) moved back into the starting lineup after a one-game absence. However, that didn't affect his production. Eason has scored in double digits in five straight games now, averaging 15.8 points per game over that stretch and reaching the 15-point plateau three times. Eason endured a slow start to the season, but his play over that five-game stretch should earn him a regular spot in the rotation for the time being.
