Bengals' Vonn Bell: Records interception in win
Bell recorded six tackles (three solo) and one interception in the Bengals' win over the Panthers on Sunday.
Bell picked off Andy Dalton late in the first quarter and returned the ball 32 yards to the Carolina 16-yard line, setting up the offense in the red zone for an eventual Chase Brown touchdown catch to put Cincinnati up 7-0. The ninth-year veteran safety has 29 tackles (12 solo) and the lone interception through four contests, and has played all 258 defensive snaps.

Bengals' Vonn Bell: Registers nine tackles Monday
Bell had nine tackles (four solo) in the Bengals' 38-33 loss to the Commanders on Monday.
Bell has played at least 57 defensive snaps in each of the first three games of the regular season, and his 23 tackles over that span is third-most on the Bengals behind Germaine Pratt and Logan Wilson (33 each). Bell will look to stay busy against Andy Dalton and the Panthers in Week 4.

Bengals' Vonn Bell: Active versus Washington
Bell (back) is active for Monday night's game against the Commanders.
Bell was listed as questionable on the injury report, but he's been cleared to play against Washington. The veteran safety enters Week 3 with 14 tackles (five solo) and has played 99 percent of the defensive snaps. He'll see a lot of Zach Ertz in coverage Monday.

Bengals' Vonn Bell: Draws questionable tag
Bell (back) did not practice Saturday, but he is listed as questionable for Monday's game against Washington, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Bell popped up on the Bengals' injury report Thursday with a back issue. While he's listed as questionable for Monday's game, the fact he ended the week with back-to-back DNPs doesn't bode well for his chances of suiting up. Jordan Battle is listed as the No. 2 strong safety on the Bengals' depth chart. However, given Battle has played only one defensive snap over the first two games of the regular season, corner Mike Hilton could be tasked with sliding over to the strong safety spot alongside free safety Geno Stone for Monday's contest, if Bell doesn't end up playing.

Bengals' Vonn Bell: Doesn't practice Friday
Bell (back) did not participate in Friday's practice session, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Bell was limited Thursday, and his downgrade to a DNP on Friday is a step in the wrong direction in regards to his status for Monday's game against the Commanders. He'll have one more chance Saturday to practice in some capacity. Jordan Battle, Tycen Anderson and Mike Hilton would all be candidates to start at strong safety Monday if Bell is unable to suit up.

Bengals' Vonn Bell: Picks up injury
Bell (back) was limited during practice Thursday.
Bell played all but one defensive snap in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs, so it's not exactly clear when he may have suffered the injury. Taking that into consideration, it's unlikely this will affect his status for Monday's game against the Commanders. However, his practice status Friday and Saturday will be worth monitoring.

Bengals' Vonn Bell: Returns to Cincy
Bell signed a one-year contract with the Bengals on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Bell played three seasons with Cincinnati before a one-year stay in Carolina, which saw him record 69 combined tackles and an interception in 2023 across 13 contests. The 29-year-old was released by the Panthers on Wednesday and agreed to take the minimum salary with the Bengals, as he's still getting $6 million guaranteed from his former team.
