Bills' Mike White: Elevated for Week 13
The Bills elevated White from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the 49ers.
White has been on Buffalo's practice squad since late August and hasn't gotten into a game this season. The veteran quarterback isn't likely to play in Sunday's contest, as both Josh Allen and Mitchell Trubisky are healthy and ahead of him on the depth chart. Per Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic, White's elevation may be a move to reward him for his work on the practice squad throughout the campaign.

Mike White: Joining Bills' practice squad
White signed with Buffalo's practice squad Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The Bills will be White's third team affiliation in as many years, but he's staying inside the AFC East. He could be elevated from the practice squad for Week 1 if Mitch Trubisky (knee) is unavailable.

Mike White: Let go by Miami
The Dolphins released White on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
White had been competing with Skylar Thompson for the No. 2 quarterback role throughout camp, and the move signals that Thompson has emerged on top in that job battle. The 29-year-old White completed just 20 of 43 pass attempts for 179 yards without a touchdown or interception during the preseason, but he's had enough in-game NFL experience with some success -- specifically in 2021 and 2022 with the Jets -- to be an appealing option for teams needing quarterback depth.
