Jamal Adams: Reverts to practice squad Friday
Adams reverted to the Lions' practice squad Friday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Adams made his Lions' debut in Thursday's win over the Packers, and he managed to log one solo tackle across seven defensive snaps. Adams can be elevated from the practice squad twice more this season, and he could see more snaps on defense as he gets acclimated to the Lions' defensive playbook.

Lions' Jamal Adams: Elevated for TNF
Detroit elevated Adams from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Thursday night's game against Green Bay.
Adams started the 2024 regular season on the Titans' active roster, but after being placed on the reserve/non-football injury list Oct. 12, his request for a release was granted five days later. The veteran safety signed with the Lions' practice squad Sunday, and he'll appear in just his fourth game of the 2024 campaign Thursday. Adams gives the Lions depth in the secondary behind starting safeties Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph.

Jamal Adams: Joining Detroit for stretch run
Adams is signing with the Lions' practice squad with an eye toward moving up to the active roster, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The former All-Pro safety got his release from the Titans' reserve/non-football injury list in October, and he reportedly wanted to join a contender, per Schefter. Adams appeared on just 20 snaps over three games for the Titans this season, and while he was dealing with a hip injury early in the year, it was never considered serious. Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph are Detroit's starting safeties, but Adams could join the rotation if he moves up to the active roster.
