Titans' Arden Key: Past hamstring issue
Key (hamstring) was left off Tennessee's injury report Wednesday ahead of Sunday's Week 1 game against the Bears, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Key tweaked his hamstring toward the end of August, and it appears he's already moved past the issue. The veteran linebacker had the best year of his career with the Titans in 2023, recording 101 total tackles, including 6.0 sacks, and defending two passes across 17 regular-season games. He's expected to line up opposite Harold Landry as the duo headlines Tennessee's pass-rush unit in 2024.

Titans' Arden Key: Tweaks hamstring
Key is dealing with a minor hamstring issue, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Per Wyatt, the team hopes that Key will be back in action next week. Key, who coach Brian Callahan said has solidified himself as a three-down linebacker with a solid showing in camp, reportedly recently won his appeal to overturn a six-game suspension under the NFL's policy against performance-enhancing substances, according to The Athletic. Key is projected to man a starting outside linebacker slot for the Titans opposite Harold Landry.

Titans' Arden Key: Facing six-game suspension
Key is facing a six-game suspension for violating the league's rules against performance-enhancing drugs, Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com reports.
It's not clear whether Key will appeal the suspension, but if it holds up, he won't be eligible to return until Week 8 against the Lions. The 2018 third-round pick out of LSU played in all 17 regular-season games for the Titans in 2023, finishing the year with 30 tackles (17 solo), including 6.0 sacks, two passes defended and two forced fumbles. If Key is suspended, Rashad Weaver and Caleb Murphy will compete for the second starting edge rusher spot opposite Harold Landry.

Titans' Arden Key: Posts sack in Week 16 loss
Key recorded four tackles (three solo), including one sack, and forced a fumble in Sunday's loss to Seattle.
Key brought down Geno Smith and forced a fumble on Seattle's first offensive series of the contest, though the Seahawks maintained possession. The sack gave Key a total of 3.5 over his past five contests -- prior to that span, he had gone six consecutive games without logging any sacks. The veteran linebacker is just a half-sack away from tying the career-high mark he set two years ago while with San Francisco.

Titans' Arden Key: Logs sack in win
Key recorded two total tackles (both solo), including one tackle for loss and one sack in Monday night's 28-27 win over the Titans.
The sixth-year pro was one of three Titans to get to Tua Tagovailoa on Monday night, as he was sacked a total of five times. Key is on pace to have one of, if not the, best seasons of his career through 13 games, tallying 22 total tackles, including three tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks. Tennessee ranks just outside the top 10 in the NFL in sacks this season (37.0 total), and Key has been a large part of that success.

Titans' Arden Key: Productive in Tennessee debut
Key recorded four tackles (one solo), including 1.5 sacks, and one pass defended in Sunday's 16-15 loss to the Saints.
Key has played on several one-year deals throughout his career, but the Titans gave him a more substantial commitment this offseason. He responded well in his debut with the team, showing ability as a pass rusher, run stopper and even in coverage. Key should continue to serve as the Titans' primary right outside linebacker this season, and he has a strong chance to set career-best marks in nearly every statistical category.
