Jaguars' Gabe Davis: Goes on IR
The Jaguars placed Davis (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Davis will miss the rest of the season after he suffered a torn meniscus in Sunday's 52-6 loss to the Lions that will need to be surgically repaired. He becomes the second Jaguars starting receiver to go down with a season-ending injury, after Christian Kirk fractured his collarbone in a Week 8 loss to the Packers. The Jaguars are now left with rookie Brian Thomas as their top option at receiver, while the absences of Davis and Kirk could open up more reps for Parker Washington, Tim Jones and Devin Duvernay over the team's final six games. After signing a three-year, $39 million contract in March, Davis will finish his first season in Jacksonville with 20 receptions for 239 yards and two touchdowns on 42 targets over his 10 appearances.

Jaguars' Gabe Davis: May have sustained torn meniscus
Davis is believed to have suffered a meniscus tear in his knee during Sunday's 52-6 loss to the Lions, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Davis will undergo further medical testing Monday before the Jaguars provide an update, but if a meniscus tear is confirmed, the wideout would require surgery. A partial meniscectomy or trim would likely entail a multi-week recovery, while a full meniscus repair would sideline him for the rest of the season. Either way, Davis looks like a candidate to go on injured reserve, which would further deplete a Jaguars pass-catching corps that has already lost Christian Kirk (collarbone) for the remainder of the campaign. The Jaguars are on bye Week 12 before returning to action Sunday, Dec. 1 against the Texans.

Jaguars' Gabe Davis: Out for season
Coach Doug Pederson said Monday that Davis (knee) will miss the rest of the season, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Davis suffered a knee injury Sunday at Detroit, and the ensuing prognosis of out for the season indicates that he'll require a full meniscus repair. He's set to join fellow WR Christian Kirk (collarbone) on injured reserve, while Brian Thomas, Parker Washington, Tim Jones and Devin Duvernay are left as the healthy options at the position on the Jaguars' active roster.

Jaguars' Gabe Davis: Hurts knee Sunday
Davis won't return to Sunday's game against the Lions after sustaining a knee injury.
Before his exit, Davis had caught one of his three targets for three yards. With the Jaguars on bye in Week 12, Davis' next chance to see game action will occur Dec. 1 against the Texans. In his absence Sunday, Brian Thomas, Parker Washington, Tim Jones, Devin Duvernay and Velus Jones are available to handle Jacksonville's WR duties versus Detroit.

Jaguars' Gabe Davis: Cleared to face Detroit
Davis (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Lions, Mia O'Brien of 1010XL Radio reports.
Davis got the green light to play after three limited practices, which also is the case for fellow starting wide receiver Brian Thomas (chest). Detroit has allowed plenty of yardage to wide receivers this season, but Davis may not be able to capitalize on this favorable matchup while working with backup quarterback Mac Jones for a second consecutive week.

Jaguars' Gabe Davis: Reps capped Thursday
Davis (shoulder) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Davis and Brian Thomas (chest) were both limited in practice for the second day in a row, but Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson hasn't suggested that the availability of either wideout for Sunday's game in Detroit is in peril. Assuming Davis is cleared to play Sunday, he'll be on the receiving end of throws from quarterback Mac Jones, who will be making a second straight start in place of the injured Trevor Lawrence (shoulder).

Jaguars' Gabe Davis: Still nursing shoulder injury
Davis (shoulder) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Davis has been tending to the shoulder injury since exiting early in a Week 8 loss to the Packers, but after missing the Week 9 loss to the Eagles, he was able to return to action for Sunday's 12-7 loss to the Vikings, finishing with one catch for 19 yards on four targets. The wideout's first season in Jacksonville has been one to forget to this point, as he's averaging a career-low 26.2 receiving yards per game. He's caught more than three passes in a game just once this season and has gone without a touchdown in nine of 10 appearances. The shoulder issue shouldn't keep him from playing Sunday at Detroit, but the prospect of working with Mac Jones as his starting quarterback rather than Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) makes Davis an unappealing option in fantasy lineups.
