Giants' Jason Pinnock: Questionable to return
Pinnock (knee) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Bengals, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
The starting free safety got injured while trying to chase down Bengals' quarterback Joe Burrow on the latter's 47-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Pinnock made one tackle before exiting. Anthony Johnson is his backup.

Giants' Jason Pinnock: Posts another sack
Pinnock recorded seven tackles (two solo), including 1.0 sacks, in a 21-15 victory versus the Browns on Sunday.
Pinnock's sack came early in the third quarter and pushed Cleveland back five yards on third down, which may have been a factor in Dustin Hopkins missing a 53-yard field-goal try on the next play. Pinnock has already set a career high with three sacks this season, exceeding last year's total of two. The safety had only two tackles in Week 1 against Minnesota but has recorded 16 total tackles across two contests since.

Giants' Jason Pinnock: Records two sacks Sunday
Pinnock registered nine tackles (eight solo), including 2.0 sacks, against Washington in Sunday's Week 2 loss.
Pinnock's pair of sacks Sunday equaled the amount he tallied over 16 games and 976 defensive snaps last season. Both takedowns came as a result of Jayden Daniels trying to run rather than throw the ball away while under pressure, so it's probably not wise to assume Pinnock will have many performances like Sunday's. Still, the sacks look good on the stat sheet, as do Pinnock's nine total stops -- last season, he reached that mark only twice.

Giants' Jason Pinnock: Active at OTAs
Pinnock (toe) is participating at the Giants' OTAs, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Pinnock was placed on injured reserve with a toe injury prior to Week 18 last season. He registered career highs across the board prior to the injury with 85 tackles (59 solo), including 2.0 sacks, six passes defended and two interceptions. The 24-year-old projects to compete with rookie second-round pick Tyler Nubin for reps at free safety in the upcoming season.

Giants' Jason Pinnock: Heads to IR
The Giants placed Pinnock (toe) on the injured reserve list Saturday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Pinnock sustained a toe injury in Week 17 against the Rams. He was ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Eagles on Friday and was placed on IR one day later. In his third year in the NFL, Pinnock registered career highs with 85 tackles (59 solo), including 2.0 sacks, six passes defended and two interceptions while adding two forced fumbles and a defensive touchdown over 16 games.

Giants' Jason Pinnock: Ruled out for season finale
Pinnock (toe) won't play in Sunday's season finale against the Eagles, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
The toe injury that knocked Pinnock out of the Week 17 loss to the Rams will also keep him from playing Week 18. The 24-year-old safety will finish his third NFL season with 85 tackles (59 solo), including 2.0 sacks, along with two forced fumbles and six passes defensed. The latter total includes two interceptions, one of which Pinnock returned 102 yards for a touchdown.

Giants' Jason Pinnock: Unavailable Wednesday
Pinnock (toe) was considered to be a nonparticipant at the Giants' walk-through Wednesday.
Pinnock suffered a toe injury in New York's narrow loss to the Rams in Week 17, forcing him to exit the contest in the first quarter, so his absence Wednesday isn't a major surprise. The safety will have two more chances to practice this week ahead of the Giants' final contest of the year Sunday versus the Eagles.
