  • Bears' Cole Kmet: Four targets in victory

Kmet caught three passes on four targets for 57 yards in the Bears' 36-10 win over the Panthers on Sunday.

After doing little during the first two games of the season, Kmet has come alive over the past three contests. During that time, the tight end is averaging five catches and 63 yards. However, Kmet has just one big game on the season, so he should be viewed primarily as a solid-floor fantasy option.

  • Bears' Cole Kmet: Logs full practice Thursday

    Kmet (knee) practiced fully Thursday.

Kmet showed up on the Bears' first Week 5 practice report Wednesday as limited due to a knee injury, but he was able to handle a full allotment of reps one day later, effectively clearing him ahead of Sunday's game against the Panthers. Aside from a 10-97-1 showing on 11 targets Week 3 at Indianapolis, he's combined for eight catches (on nine targets) for 65 yards and no touchdowns in his other three outings this season.

  • Bears' Cole Kmet: Limited by knee injury

Kmet was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a knee injury.

Kmet handled a full workload in Sunday's 24-18 win over the Rams, playing 93 percent of snaps and catching all three of his targets for 34 yards. He's back to a near-every-down role after opening the season in a timeshare with Gerald Everett, and while a knee injury may limit Kmet's practice participation this week, his ability to do some work Wednesday suggests he's on track to play this Sunday against the Panthers.

  • Bears' Cole Kmet: Three catches in Week 4 win

Kmet caught three passes on three targets for 34 yards in the Bears' 24-18 win over the Rams on Sunday.

After a 10-catch outburst against the Colts in Week 3, Kmet saw his workload reduce considerably with the return of Keenan Allen from a two-game absence due to a heel injury. Kmet did finish tied for second in receptions and as the runner-up in receiving yards on the afternoon for Chicago, but his production Sunday is likely to be much closer to the norm than what he was able to do in the aforementioned loss to Indianapolis.

  • Bears' Cole Kmet: Breaks out in Week 3

Kmet caught 10 of 11 targets for 97 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-16 loss to the Colts.

After two quiet games to begin the season, Kmet started to click with rookie quarterback Caleb Williams in this one, capping his huge day with a six-yard score late in the fourth quarter as the Bears tried to mount a comeback. The tight end may have benefitted from the absence of Keenan Allen (heel) to monopolize intermediate routes, but if Williams is going to attempt 50-plus passes a game -- he went 33-for-52 for 363 yards Sunday -- there should be plenty of volume to go around even when all of Chicago's top targets are healthy. Kmet will look to keep rolling in Week 4 against the Rams.

  • Bears' Cole Kmet: Grabs four passes Sunday

Kmet pulled in four of five passes for 27 yards in Sunday's 19-13 loss to Houston.

Kmet's four-catch night was a step forward after he recored just one reception in the Bears' season-opening win over Tennessee. The starting tight end's production still left much to be desired from a fantasy perspective. Veteran backup Gerald Everett (three targets) continues to eat into Kmet's fantasy upside as the team prepares to face Indianapolis on Sunday.

  • Bears' Cole Kmet: Quiet performance in opener

Kmet caught his only target for four yards in the Bears' 24-17 win over the Titans on Sunday.

Caleb Williams threw 25 of 29 passes to his top-four wide receivers, so there were very few targets left for other Chicago players. Also, with Kmet sharing the field with fellow tight end Gerald Everett, who also had one target, it seems unlikely that Kmet will match the 84 targets he's averaged over the last three seasons.
