  • Giants' Aaron Stinnie: Returning in Week 17

Stinnie (concussion) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Colts, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.

Stinnie was sidelined for the Giants' Week 16 loss to the Falcons after sustaining a concussion the game prior. However, the James Madison product practiced in full throughout the week, suggesting he's cleared the NFL's five-step concussion protocol. With Stinnie back at full health, he's expected to serve as the Giants' top left guard in Week 17.

  • Giants' Aaron Stinnie: Won't play Sunday

Stinnie (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Falcons, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Stinnie was unable to practice throughout the week after entering concussion protocol following the Giants' Week 15 loss to the Ravens. The 30-year-old must clear the NFL's five-step protocol before returning to action, and Jake Kubas will likely serve as the Giants' top left guard in his absence during Week 16.

  • Giants' Aaron Stinnie: In concussion protocols

Head coach Brian Daboll said Wednesday that Stinnie has entered concussion protocols and did not practice Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Stinnie made his first start of the 2024 regular season at left guard this past Sunday against the Ravens. He'll have to clear the league's five-step concussion protocols in order to play against the Falcons on Sunday. If Stinnie is unable to suit up, Jake Kubas is the next candidate to start at left guard.

  • Giants' Aaron Stinnie: Lands in New York

The Giants signed Stinnie on Friday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

The 30-year-old offensive lineman has spent time with the Titans and Buccaneers throughout his six-year career, but he's now found a new home in New York. Stinnie has appeared in 31 games during his time in the NFL, with 13 of those games (11 starts) coming last season. He's expected to compete for a depth spot on the Giants' offensive line this offseason.

  • Buccaneers' Aaron Stinnie: Looks healthier at minicamp

Stinnie, who missed the entire 2022 season with a torn ACL and MCL, was able to run and work on the blocking sleds without any sign of a limp during the Buccaneers' recent minicamp, Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The news is encouraging given the severity of the injury Stinnie suffered during a preseason game against the Titans last August. Stinnie will still be under a year removed from knee surgery when training camp begins in late July, but when the 29-year-old is back to full strength, he'll be in line to serve as guard depth, at a minimum.

  • Buccaneers' Aaron Stinnie: Re-signing with Bucs

Stinnie (knee) is set to re-sign with Tampa Bay on a one-year, $2.5 million deal, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Stinnie was competing for a starting guard spot prior to the 2022 season before suffering a torn ACL and MCL in the preseason. Given his health is up to par, he is again expected to compete for a starting role in 2023.
