Titans' Ernest Jones: Another active game
Jones recorded 13 tackles (10 solo) during the Titans' 30-14 loss to the Packers on Sunday.
The performance followed Jones' nine-tackle game last week against the Jets. Jones was traded to the Titans right before the season and has now played 100 percent of the defensive snaps in each of the last two games. He recorded 145 tackles for the Rams a year ago.

Jones recorded nine tackles (six solo), including two tackles for loss, in the Titans' loss to the Jets on Sunday.
More notably, Jones played 100 percent of the defensive snaps after playing just 46 percent of the downs in his Week 1 debut with the team following Jones' acquisition from the Rams just ahead of the season. Jones should easily accrue 100-plus tackles once again in 2024 after picking up 145 last year with Los Angeles.

Titans' Ernest Jones: Dealt to Tennessee
The Rams will trade Jones to the Titans on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Los Angeles gave Jones permission to seek a trade when it became clear the two sides wouldn't be able to work out a contract extension, and the IDP standout is now on the move. In just 15 regular-season games last year, the 2021 third-round pick broke out with a career-high 145 tackles (74 solo), 4.5 sacks and six passes defensed. He figures to immediately shift into a starting middle linebacker role alongside Kenneth Murray for the Titans, likely bumping Jack Gibbens to a rotational gig.

Rams' Ernest Jones: Absent from practice
Jones is not practicing Monday after the Rams granted him permission Sunday to seek a trade, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Jones, who is heading into the final year of his rookie deal, is clearly on the trade block. That could be partially due to the fact that UDFA Omar Speights has impressed enough to secure a roster spot, per Cameron DaSilva of USA Today. Coach Sean McVay said Monday that Jones didn't request a trade, per Rodrigue, which could be an indication that the team made its own decision to move on. Jones tallied career-high totals in terms of tackles (145) and sacks (4.5) across 15 regular-season games in 2023.

Rams' Ernest Jones: Allowed to seek trade
The Rams granted Jones and his agents permission to seek a trade Sunday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Heading into the final season of his rookie deal, Jones was hoping to land an extension with the Rams after registering career highs in both tackles (145) and sacks (4.5) in 2023. However, the two sides were unable to come to an agreement in the offseason and training camp, prompting the Rams to grant the 2021 third-round pick permission to engage with other teams on a trade. The Rams will presumably hope to have a trade in place before they have to trim their roster to 53 players Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET.
