  • Broncos' Lucas Krull: Could return Sunday

Krull (foot) was a full participant at practice Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Krull has been on Denver's injured reserve list since breaking his foot during practice back in October, but it looks like there's a solid chance he will suit up for the AFC Championship versus the Patriots. With that said, there probably won't be a clear path to a significant snap share for Krull as long as Evan Engram, Adam Trautman and Nate Adkins all remain available.

  • Broncos' Lucas Krull: Won't be activated off IR

Krull (foot) has been ruled out for Saturday's AFC divisional-round tilt against the Bills, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Krull was a limited participant in practice all week, but he isn't quite ready to return from injured reserve. He is in the final stages of his recovery from a procedure in late October to repair the fractured fifth metatarsal in his left foot. If the Broncos win Saturday, then Krull's next opportunity to play would be in the AFC Championship Game.

  • Broncos' Lucas Krull: Practice window opens

The Broncos designated Krull (foot) to return from injured reserve Tuesday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.

Krull will have a 21-day window to participate in practice without counting against the 53-man roster, and Denver can activate him from IR at any point in that span. The depth tight end is recovering from surgery undergone late October to repair the fractured fifth metatarsal in his left foot. If he's able to practice in full ahead of Saturday's divisional-round contest against the Bills, he could be cleared to retake the field.

  • Broncos' Lucas Krull: Undergoes surgery on foot

Krull underwent surgery to repair the the fractured fifth metatarsal in his left foot Monday and is expected to be out for eight weeks, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.

Krull broke his left foot in early October, which prompted his placement on injured reserve. The eight-week timeline puts the 27-year-old tight end on pace to return by the end of the regular season or for the start of the postseason, should the Broncos qualify. With Krull on IR and Nate Adkins sustaining a knee injury during Denver's Week 8 win over Dallas, Evan Engram and Adam Trautman are the only healthy tight ends on the Broncos' active roster.

  • Broncos' Lucas Krull: Suffers broken foot, placed on IR

The Broncos placed Krull on injured reserve Saturday due to a broken foot, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

Krull suffered the injury in practice this week and will now miss at least the next four games, though his absence could extend beyond that. Krull has appeared in two games this season, securing two passes for 15 yards on four targets.

  • Broncos' Lucas Krull: Won't play due to foot injury

Krull (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Eagles.

The foot injury is a new one, as he appeared on Friday's practice report as a DNP. The injury is severe enough for him to be ruled out for Sunday's contest, though his absence won't make too much of an impact as he was a healthy scratch for the Broncos' Week 4 win against the Bengals. With Krull sidelined, Denver's tight end room will consist of Evan Engram, Adam Trautman and Nate Adkins.

  • Broncos' Lucas Krull: Inactive with Engram back

Krull (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday night's game against the Bengals.

With Evan Engram (back) returning to the lineup, Krull is the odd man out at tight end for Denver.

  • Broncos' Lucas Krull: One catch in loss

Krull caught one of his two targets for nine yards in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Chargers.

Krull played 22 of Broncos' 52 offensive snaps, the most of any Denver tight end ahead of both Adam Trautman (19) and Nate Adkins (18). With teammate Evan Engram (back) ruled out for the contest, Krull was unable to make the most of his opportunity atop the depth chart. Even if Engram is forced to miss more time, the 27-year-old Krull remains far off the fantasy radar due to his limited role in Denver's passing attack. Next up for the Broncos is a matchup against the Bengals in Week 4.

  • Broncos' Lucas Krull: Back with Denver

Krull re-signed with the Broncos on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Krull -- who entered the offseason as an exclusive-rights free agent -- was tendered a contract by the Broncos last month. Now that he's officially been re-signed, he'll reprise his depth role in a Denver tight end corps that now will be led by newcomer Evan Engram, with Adam Trautman and Nate Adkins also in the mix. In 13 regular-season contests with the Broncos in 2024, Krull posted a 19-152-0 line on 23 targets.

Krull was tendered a contract by the Broncos on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Krull entered the offseason as an exclusive-rights free agent and he will now stick around in Denver for a third season, earning $1.03 million. The tight end caught 19 of 23 targets for 152 yards over 13 regular-season games in 2024, and he'll look to carve out a greater role for himself next season.
