Dotson was targeted four times in the Eagles' Week 4 loss to the Bucs, finishing with two catches for 11 yards.
Dotson was expected to see an expanded role as the team's top wideout in the absence of A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion), and while he did indeed see a season-high number of targets, it's hard to say he made much of an impact. The Eagles have a bye in Week 5, buying Brown and Smith an extra week to recover and push Dotson back down the depth chart.

Eagles' Jahan Dotson: Serving as top wideout Sunday
Dotson is in line to serve as the Eagles' No. 1 receiver for Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Buccaneers with both A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) ruled out for the contest.
Dotson has shown very little over the last two games despite Brown's absence, and he's produced just a 3-14-0 line on five targets over his first three regular-season contests overall. However, the combination of Dotson's speed, the fact he's had another week to acclimate to the Eagles' playbook following his late-August arrival via trade with the Commanders, and the expansive void the absences of Brown and Smith create could represent the perfect storm of opportunity and circumstances for Dotson to thrive versus what's been an inconsistent and still short-handed Buccaneers secondary.

Eagles' Jahan Dotson: Starts again, just two catches
Dotson served a starting role in Week 3 against the Saints but had just two catches for eight yards on three targets.
Dotson again filled a larger role with A.J. Brown (hamstring) unavailable, but Jalen Hurts wound up giving double-digit targets to both Dallas Goedert and DeVonta Smith and no more than four to anyone else. Smith suffered a concussion late in Monday's game, so if both he and Brown wind up missing Week 4 against the Bucs, it's possible Dotson could see an expanded target share.

Dotson had one reception for six yards on one target in Monday's 22-21 loss to Atlanta.
Dotson was expected to see an increased role with star wideout A.J. Brown (hamstring) missing Monday's contest due to injury. The opposite scenario unfolded in a contest where the Eagles ran for more yards than the offense passed for against Atlanta's defense. Brown's injury is already expected to cost the No. 1 receiver multiple weeks of action, opening the door for auxiliary options like Dotson to see increased roles (despite Monday's one-catch dud). Dotson should remain in play for deep-league managers against the Saints on Sunday.

Eagles' Jahan Dotson: Should see added work Monday
Dotson is expected to assume a larger role in the Eagles' passing attack Monday against the Falcons with A.J. Brown (hamstring) downgraded to out, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
Dotson logged 32 snaps behind Brown (72 snaps) and DeVonta Smith (76 snaps) in the Eagles' season-opening win over the Packers. According to the Eagles' official site, head coach Nick Sirianni expressed confidence in Dotson's ability to take on more meaningful snaps in Brown's absence, with Sirianni noting that he's been pleased with how the wideout has looked in practices since being acquired from the Commanders on Aug. 22. After Smith and Dotson, the Eagles are left with Johnny Wilson (questionable, hamstring) and Britain Covey as depth options at receiver.

Eagles' Jahan Dotson: No catches in Eagles debut
Dotson finished his Eagles debut Friday against the Packers with zero catches on one target.
Dotson was on the field for 32 offensive snaps, well ahead of fellow depth wideouts Johnny Wilson (10) and Britain Covey (9), but the only time quarterback Jalen Hurts looked his way, it nearly resulted in a pick-six. Dotson's role can only grow from here, and he's likely to be more involved once he's had more than two full weeks of practice with his new team, which acquired him from the Commanders in late August. However, the Eagles haven't typically afforded many targets to receivers other than A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith in recent seasons.
