Moody had a much smoother experience at home in sunny Santa Clara, CA compared to last week's two-miss game on the road against Buffalo. The sophomore leg has now gone 20-for-26 on field-goal attempts while hitting 100 percent of his PATs in 10 active games this season. Moody went 1-for-3 on field-goal attempts while hitting his only point-after try in Sunday's 35-10 loss to the Bills.
Moody missed multiple attempts for the second time in four weeks, shanking kicks from 45 and 55 yards out. The kicker's last blunder-filled outing came in calm conditions, but a harsh snow storm in Buffalo was likely the culprit this time around. The sophomore has missed just one FGA in his seven other active games this season, leading to a decent 76 percent make rate through nine total contests. Moody should resume his consistent play with a pair of home tilts on tap in sunny Santa Clara, CA, starting with the Bears this coming Sunday.

Moody went 1-for-1 on field-goal attempts and 1-for-1 on extra-point tries in Sunday's 38-10 loss to Green Bay.
Moody only received two kicking opportunities in the lopsided defeat sans starting quarterback Brock Purdy (shoulder). San Francisco's kicker hasn't missed a kick since his horrific Week 10, but his low usage has dampened his fantasy value. Moody and the 49ers will stay on the road to face the Bills in the snow next Sunday.

Moody nailed his only field-goal attempt from 33 yards out while converting both point-after tries in Sunday's 20-17 loss to Seattle.
Moody had a tumultuous return from injury in Week 10, missing three FGAs before mercifully hitting his last kick to finish off a win over Tampa Bay. Things went a lot smoother this time around, albeit in a losing effort on far less kicking attempts. Moody should resume being a safe play in fantasy, but it is worth noting his upcoming schedule that features two road games outdoors away from the West Coast. The first test comes on the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field when the 49ers visit the Packers next Sunday.

49ers' Jake Moody: Innaccurate in return
Moody (ankle) went 3-for-6 on field-goal attempts while converting both of his point-after tries in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Buccaneers.
Moody returned from an ankle injury that cost him three weeks of game action, but the results were mixed upon returning Sunday. The 2023 third-round pick wound up missing three field-goal attempts (44, 49 and 50 yards) before nailing his sixth and final attempt for the win. Moody went 13-for-14 on FGA in five games prior to getting injured, so perhaps Sunday's poor showing was simply the kicker shaking off the rust from a long layoff. Barring a rash roster move, Moody should remain kicking for San Francisco in a crucial matchup against the Seahawks on Sunday.

Moody (ankle) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game in Tampa Bay.
The 49ers have cycled through three kickers this season -- also, Matthew Wright (shoulder) and Anders Carlson -- due to injuries. Moody kicked off Week 10 prep with back-to-back limited sessions but practiced in full Friday, so he's been cleared to return for the first time since he sustained a right high-ankle sprain during a Week 5 loss to the Cardinals.

Moody is looking to return from a three-game absence due to a high-ankle sprain he suffered in Week 5 against Arizona. The second-year kicker has been limited at the first two 49ers practices to begin the week, so he has a decent -- but not guaranteed -- chance of taking the field Sunday versus Tampa Bay. Anders Carlson, who kicked for San Francisco in Weeks 7 and 8, was cut from the team's practice squad Tuesday, which could be an indication that Moody is expected to make his return this weekend.

49ers' Jake Moody: Opens week as limited
Moody (ankle) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
Moody suffered a high-ankle sprain during the 49ers' Week 5 loss to the Cardinals, which caused him to miss the last three games. With the 49ers coming out of a Week 9 bye, Moody was able to return to practice Wednesday, albeit with a cap on his reps. If he's able to advance to full participation in practice by Friday, it would bode well for Moody's chances of playing Sunday against the Buccaneers. Moody has converted 13 of 14 field-goal attempts and 12 of 12 extra-point tries through five outings this season.
