Mitchell is questionable to return to Saturday's preseason game against the Giants after sustaining a shoulder injury, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
Mitchell had been dealing with the shoulder injury early in the game before exiting in the second quarter, per Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic. Mitchell played in 14 games (including seven starts) for the Jets last season, and he is currently slated as the backup right tackle on the depth chart behind Morgan Moses.

Mitchell (neck) was considered a full participant on Wednesday's estimated injury report, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Mitchell missed Sunday's loss to the Dolphins due to a neck injury, but he now appears to be on track to be back on the field in Week 16. The offensive lineman will look to make his full participation official at Thursday's practice session.

Jets' Max Mitchell: Healthy to start OTAs
Mitchell (illness) practiced Tuesday at OTAs, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Mitchell was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list last December due to blood clots in his calf and lung, but it appears he's moved past the potentially career-ending issue and is healthy to start offseason workouts. The undrafted offensive tackle out of Louisiana should compete for a reserve role in 2023.
