Raiders' Sincere McCormick: Gets roster spot
The Raiders signed McCormick off their practice squad Tuesday.
Wide receiver DJ Turner (knee) was placed on injured reserve to open up a spot on the 53-man roster for McCormick, an undrafted rookie out of UTSA who had already exhausted his three practice-squad elevations. With Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quadricep) both sidelined for Las Vegas' past two games, McCormick operated as the No. 2 back behind Ameer Abdullah for both contests, carrying 17 times for 97 yards (5.7 YPC) and recording two catches for one yard. Though Mattison and White could both be available for this Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, neither player has been efficient with his opportunities this season, so McCormick could continue to have a role out of the backfield.

Raiders' Sincere McCormick: Reverts to practice squad
McCormick reverted to the Raiders' practice squad Saturday, per the NFL's transaction log.
With Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quadriceps) both inactive for Friday's game against the Chiefs, McCormick was thrust into backup running back duties behind Ameer Abdullah. McCormick finished Friday's game with 12 carries for 64 yards while adding two catches for one yard, and he played 26 snaps on offense while Abdullah led the Raiders' backfield with 42 offensive snaps. McCormick has an opportunity to reprise his backup role for Week 14 against the Buccaneers on Sunday, Dec. 8 if both Mattison and White were to be sidelined for that contest.

Raiders' Sincere McCormick: Strong showing in extended duty
McCormick rushed 12 times for 64 yards and brought in both targets for one yard in the Raiders' 19-17 loss to the Chiefs on Friday.
McCormick led the Raiders in rushing yardage, logging two additional carries and 25 more rushing yards than backfield mate Ameer Abdullah. McCormick had just seen his first five career touches Week 12 against the Broncos and had been similarly efficient with a lighter workload, recording 33 yards on five carries on just eight snaps. The UTSA product, who twice rushed for over 1,400 yards in college, has undeniably shown promise, but it remains to be seen what his role will be if both Zamir White (quadriceps) and Alexander Mattison (ankle) are available for a Week 14 road matchup against the Buccaneers on Sunday, Dec. 8.

With both Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quadriceps) inactive Friday, McCormick -- who logged eight offensive snaps and carried five times for 33 yards in the aforementioned duo's absence this past Sunday against the Broncos -- will have an opportunity to see added work alongside Ameer Abdullah. McCormick was elevated from the Raiders' practice squad Thursday ahead of Friday's contest against the Chiefs.
McCormick's elevation is his second in as many weeks and his third overall this season. With both Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quadriceps) out Sunday versus Denver, McCormick logged eight offensive snaps and carried five times for 33 yards. White has been ruled out again this week, but Mattison is questionable to play. If the latter suits up, McCormick could see even fewer opportunities to take the field Friday.

McCormick reverted to the Raiders' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
With Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quadriceps) inactive for Sunday's 29-19 loss to the Broncos, McCormick was elevated for the contest and served as the Raiders' No. 2 RB behind Ameer Abdullah. Abdullah led the way with 13 touches for 65 yards from scrimmage and a receiving TD on a 90 percent snap share, while McCormick got the other 10 percent and turned five carries into 33 yards, and Dylan Laube was contained strictly to special teams. If one of Mattison or White is able to return Friday against the Chiefs, McCormick may not get the call for Week 13 action, but that won't be known until later this week.

With both Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quadriceps) listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Broncos, there's a path for McCormick to potentially see playing time in Week 12. Sincere McCormick: Signs with Raiders' practice squad
Las Vegas signed McCormick to the practice squad Wednesday.
McCormick finished the preseason with 17 carries for 60 yards while adding five catches for 18 yards. He spent all of 2023 season on the Raiders' practice squad, and he will reprise that role for 2024. McCormick should be called up to the active roster if Zamir White, Alexander Mattison, Dylan Laube or Ameer Abdullah miss time.

Sincere McCormick: Let go by Raiders
Las Vegas waived McCormick on Tuesday, per the team's official site.
McCormick led the Raiders with 60 yards during the preseason slate, but he needed 17 carries to get to that total. The 23-year-old also caught five of six passes for 18 yards. McCormick spent 2022 on IR and was on Las Vegas' practice squad all of last season. He could end up back on the team's practice squad to begin 2024 if he clears waivers.

McCormick failed to make the Raiders' 53-man roster after training camp, but he did sign with the team's practice squad Aug. 30. He didn't make an appearance this season, but he'll spend the offseason working and competing for a roster spot with Las Vegas for 2024.
