Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Won't play Sunday
Stevenson (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Though Stevenson's foot issue isn't considered to be a long-term concern, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, he'll miss at least one game after not practicing this week. In Stevenson's absence versus Houston, Antonio Gibson figures to handle the bulk of the Patriots' Week 6 carries, with JaMycal Hasty in reserve and practice-squad members Terrell Jennings and Kevin Harris being potential candidates for elevation.

Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Not spotted at practice
Stevenson (foot) wasn't spotted during the initial portion of Friday's practice, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Stevenson didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, so his continued absence is concerning ahead of Sunday's game against the Texans. Per Reiss, coach Jerod Mayo noted that Stevenson's foot injury isn't viewed as a long-term concern, but if the running back is out this weekend, Antonio Gibson would be in line for the Week 6 start, with JaMycal Hasty in reserve and practice-squad members Terrell Jennings and Kevin Harris candidates for elevation.

Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Still not practicing
Stevenson (foot) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Stevenson didn't practice Wednesday, which sets the stage for Friday's session to loom large in terms of the running back's availability for Sunday's game against the Texans. If he ends up limited or out this weekend, Antonio Gibson would be in line for added Week 6 snaps, with JaMycal Hasty in reserve.

Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Misses practice with foot injury
Stevenson didn't practice Wednesday due to a foot issue, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Stevenson briefly left this past Sunday's loss to the Dolphins with what was referred to as a calf injury, which he downplayed afterward. Evidently, Stevenson is past that issue, but the running back is now tending to a foot concern ahead of this weekend's game against the Texans. Stevenson has two more chances to practice ahead of the contest, but unless he upgrades to full participation by Friday, he'll head into Sunday with an injury designation.

Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Not practicing Wednesday
Stevenson isn't participating in practice Wednesday due to a calf injury, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald report.
Per Callahan, Stevenson left this past Sunday's loss to the Dolphins for a few plays due to the calf injury, but the running back downplayed the issue afterward. Stevenson's status will be revisited again Thursday, but even with an absence to begin Week 6 prep, the Patriots haven't indicated that his availability for this weekend's game against the Texans is in danger.

Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Bounces back after brief demotion
Stevenson rushed 12 times for 89 yards and a touchdown and brought in all four targets for three yards in the Patriots' 15-10 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
Stevenson didn't open the game as a starter due to his early-season fumbling issues, but he was ultimately able to put together his most impressive showing since his 120-yard, one-touchdown effort in Week 1. Stevenson rattled off a game-long 33-yard run for a touchdown late in the first quarter for the Patriots' first points, and he averaged just over 5.0 yards per carry on his other 11 totes. The third-year back did get briefly shaken up in the fourth quarter per Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald, but Stevenson reentered the game for a play and said after the contest he does not expect to miss any time. Stevenson and the Patriots next welcome in the Texans for a Week 6 matchup.

Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Fumbles away starting gig
Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo said Friday that Stevenson will not start at running back in Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Antonio Gibson will get a turn as the Patriots' lead back Week 5 while the 26-year-old Stevenson slides down a spot on the depth chart after fumbling in each of the Patriots' first four games. According to Mayo, Stevenson is still in line to remain in the game plan versus Miami. Gibson has seen just 29 carries to Stevenson's 65 through four games, but the former is averaging 5.3 yards per tote to Stevenson's 4.1 average.
