  • Cardinals' Budda Baker: Posts another strong outing

Baker recorded eight tackles, all solo, including two for a loss and a pass defended in Sunday's 41-10 win over the Rams.

Baker's eight tackles lead the way for the Cardinals in their convincing divisional win. The veteran now has 18 combined tackles through the first two weeks of the season, tying him with Kyzir White for the team lead and ranking him in the top 10 amongst all safeties in the league.

  • Cardinals' Kyzir White: Aides in victory

White notched seven tackles (two solo) in Sunday's 41-10 win over the Rams.

White didn't stuff the stat sheet but it was another solid performance for the West Virginia product. He now has 18 total tackles through two weeks of the 2024 campaign, tying him with Budda Baker for the team lead. White and the Cardinals will now host the Lions in Week 3.

  • Cardinals' Dennis Gardeck: Big day at linebacker

Gardeck recorded six tackles, including 3.0 sacks, four tackles for loss and a forced fumble in Sunday's 41-10 win over the Rams.

Gardeck loaded up the stat sheet as part of a dominant defensive showing by the Cardinals in Week 2. The 29-year-old earned a significant role last season for the first time in his six-year career, after primarily being a special-teams contributor. In his new role as a starter, the Sioux Falls product may be having a late-career breakout now that he's getting the opportunity to see the field more. He'll work to keep up the production in Week 3 against the Lions.

  • Cardinals' Matt Prater: Connects on all seven kicks Sunday

Prater made both field-goal attempts and all five point-after tries during Sunday's 41-10 win over the Rams.

Prater has yet to miss any of his 11 kicks this season, including Sunday's FGA makes from 48 and 57 yards. The fact that he's attached to the No. 2 scoring offense in the NFL through two weeks (34.5 points per game) helps his cause, as he's tied for ninth in the league at 9.5 points per game with the Ravens' Justin Tucker and the Seahawks' Jason Myers. Prater will look to stay perfect on the campaign Sunday against the Lions.

  • Cardinals' Elijah Higgins: Makes most of only target

Higgins hauled in his only target for an 18-yard touchdown during Sunday's 41-10 victory versus the Rams.

Higgins served as the Cardinals' No. 2 TE behind Trey McBride in Week 1, but the former (55 percent) and rookie Tip Reiman (58 percent) had nearly equal snap shares Week 2. Through two games, Higgins at least has contributed as a pass catcher, including the second TD of his career Sunday, while Reiman has yet to see a target. With a team-leading 15 targets on the campaign, McBride is the team's clear-cut top option at the position, but Higgins so far has carved out a regular role in the offense.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Catches both targets Sunday

Dortch gathered in both targets for 11 yards during Sunday's 41-10 victory against the Rams.

After pacing the Cardinals in catches (six) and receiving yards (47) in the season-opening loss at Buffalo, Dortch was usurped by rookie fourth overall pick Marvin Harrison, who broke out with four catches (on eight targets) for 130 yards and two touchdowns Sunday. Dortch remained No. 3 in the WR pecking order behind Harrison and Michael Wilson, but his snap share fell from 61 percent Week 1 to 39 percent this past weekend. Dortch's next chance to produce arrives Sunday versus the Lions.

  • Cardinals' Emari Demercado: Salvages day with long run

Demercado notched two carries for 46 yards during Sunday's 41-10 win versus the Rams.

Demercado's first touch didn't come until midway through the fourth quarter, but he did the most with it to the tune of a 41-yard rush. Otherwise, he seems to have ceded the No. 2 RB role to rookie Trey Benson, who had a 33 percent snap share to Demercado's 13 percent. James Conner gobbles up most of the snaps and touches in the Cardinals backfield, leaving Demercado to fight for scraps with Benson (12 touches for 18 total yards Week 2).

  • Cardinals' Trey Benson: Racks up 11 carries in Week 2

Benson tallied 11 carries for 10 yards and one catch (on one target) for seven yards during Sunday's 41-10 win against the Rams.

Through two games in his NFL career, Benson has spelled starting running back James Conner, but the former's snap share increased from 13 percent Week 1 to 33 percent Sunday, while fellow reserve option Emari Demercado went from 21 to 11 percent. Benson's efficiency on the ground (1.6 YPC) hasn't emerged yet, but he at least seems to be the No. 2 RB for the Cardinals heading into Sunday's game against the Lions.
