Panthers' D.J. Wonnum: Logs 2.0 sacks in Week 15 loss
Wonnum recorded four tackles (two solo), including 2.0 sacks, in a loss to New Orleans on Sunday.
Wonnum led a strong effort by Carolina's defense, but the team's offense was able to put up just 17 points. Wonnum got into the sacks column for the first time this season after going 12 games without taking down the opposing QB. He posted 4.0 sacks in just eight contests last year.

Panthers' Nick Scott: Reaches double-digit stops Week 15
Scott totaled 10 tackles (six solo) Sunday in a loss to New Orleans.
Scott was the Panthers' leading tackler in the disappointing loss. The veteran safety has been quite productive of late, tallying at least eight tackles in each of his past four games. Scott's 10 stops Sunday pushed his season tally to 85 through 14 contests, putting him one shy of his career-best regular-season mark of 86, which he set in 2022 with the Rams.

Panthers' Trevor Etienne: No offensive snaps in loss
Etienne didn't play a single offensive snap but logged 25 kick-return yards and 16 punt-return yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Saints.
The rookie running back from Georgia has now gone without an offensive snap in three of the Panthers' last five games. He's primarily contributed as Carolina's top return man this season, recording 642 kickoff-return yards and 127 punt-return yards across 14 appearances. Etienne is expected to remain a depth piece in the Panthers' backfield while continuing to contribute on special teams in the Week 16 matchup against the Buccaneers.

Panthers' Ja'Tavion Sanders: Logs five yards in Week 15
Sanders caught both of his targets for five yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Saints.
The 22-year-old has struggled to contribute over the Panthers' last three games, catching all three of his targets for 11 yards during that span. However, Sanders logged 29 offensive snaps Sunday, slightly more than both Tommy Tremble (28) and Mitchell Evans (25). Even if Sanders remains Carolina's top pass-catching tight end, he'll likely carry limited fantasy value in the Week 16 matchup against the Buccaneers due to the team's ongoing offensive consistency issues .

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Two catches vs. New Orleans
Tremble caught two of four targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Saints.
Tremble received just four total targets in the Panthers' previous four games, but he matched that total during Sunday's loss. The increase in volume didn't translate to production, as finished the divisional matchup with the fourth-most receiving yards on the team. Tremble has now caught 22 of 31 targets for 199 yards and a touchdown across 14 appearances this season. He's expected to remain the one of the Panthers' top tight ends in the Week 16 matchup against the Buccaneers.

Panthers' Xavier Legette: Continues to underwhelm Sunday
Legette caught two of three targets for 39 yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Saints.
Sunday's loss marked Legette's eighth game of the season with two or fewer receptions, though he still finished with the second-most receiving yards on the Panthers. The second-year pro has now caught 30 of 56 targets for 326 yards and three touchdowns across 12 appearances this year. Offensive consistency issues in Carolina likely make Legette too risky a fantasy option for a Week 16 matchup against the Buccaneers.

Panthers' Chuba Hubbard: Held to 38 yards
Hubbard rushed the ball eight times for 29 yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Saints. He added one reception on one target for nine yards.
Hubbard looked to be regaining momentum in the Carolina backfield, but he operated as a clear secondary option to Rico Dowdle in Sunday's loss. Hubbard managed only nine touches compared to 17 for Dowdle, and he's now been held below 50 yards from scrimmage in six of the Panthers' last seven games.

Panthers' Jalen Coker: Continues emerging for Carolina
Coker recorded four receptions on four targets for 60 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Saints. He also lost a fumble.
Coker paced the team in receptions and yards while tying for the lead in targets with Tetairoa McMillan and Tommy Tremble. Coker made a few long receptions, highlighted by a 32-yard touchdown catch down the right sideline on Carolina's first possession of the second half. He also had a 24-yard gain, his first time recording multiple catches of at least 20 yards on the season. After posting minimal production immediately after his return from a hamstring injury, Coker has topped 50 receiving yards in three of his last four games while commanding at least four targets in five straight contests.

Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Overshadowed in loss
McMillan recorded two receptions on four targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Saints.
McMillan tied for the team lead in targets, though both Jalen Coker and Tommy Tremble also had four targets. McMillan managed a 21-yard reception late in the second quarter to convert on fourth down, but he was otherwise unable to impact the game. He has now been held below 50 receiving yards in three straight games, though this performance also ended his three-contest touchdown streak.

Panthers' Rico Dowdle: Touchdown saves inefficient showing
Dowdle rushed the ball 16 times for 49 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Saints. He added one reception on one target for five yards.
Dowdle reclaimed the lead-back role in Carolina, out-touching Chuba Hubbard 17-9. However, he found very limited room to run, with his longest gain going for only eight yards while averaging under 4.0 yards per carry for the fourth time in his last five games. Dowdle did manage to save his day with a four-yard touchdown midway through the first quarter, his first time reaching the end zone since Week 10. Overall, Dowdle has failed to reach 100 yards from scrimmage in four of his last five games despite seeing at least 17 touches in all but one matchup in that span.

Panthers' Bryce Young: Modest output in loss
Young completed 15 of 24 passes for 163 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Saints. He added seven rushes for 49 yards.
As has been the case for much of the season, the Panthers were content to rely on the ground game to power their offense. That limited Young to 25 or fewer pass attempts for the sixth time in his last eight matchups, though he did a solid job pushing the ball down the field when called upon. Young's performance was highlighted by a 32-yard touchdown pass that hit Jalen Coker in stride down the right sideline, and he also tacked on three additional completions of at least 20 yards. Despite the positives, Young has been held below 200 passing yards in all but three games this season, and he now has one or fewer touchdowns in four of the team's last six games.
