Bears' Keenan Allen: Won't practice Wednesday
Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said Wednesday that Allen (heel) will not participate in practice, Chris Emma of 670TheScore.com reports.
Allen missed all three of Chicago's official practice sessions last week, missing Chicago's loss to the Texans as a result. Eberflus said the team is "trying to get [Allen] back on the grass as soon as we can," but at this point it's unclear when a realistic target for the veteran wideout to resume handling practice reps will be. If Allen is unable to play Sunday versus Indianapolis, all of DeAndre Carter, Tyler Scott and Collin Johnson will once again be candidates to see increased roles behind No. 1 wideout DJ Moore and rookie first-round pick Rome Odunze.

Bears' Gervon Dexter: Another sack in defeat
Dexter recorded a sack as his only tackle in the Bears' 19-13 loss to the Texans on Sunday.
The defensive tackle now has a sack in each of Chicago's two games and five total stops in that span. As an interior lineman, the tackle numbers may not be high on a weekly basis, so Dexter's ability to rush the passer could be his best path to IDP success.

Bears' Jack Sanborn: Notches sack
Sanborn posted two tackles (one solo), including a sack, in the Bears' 19-13 loss to the Texans on Sunday.
With the Bears often playing with two linebackers on the field, Sanborn is often the odd man out. In this game, he played just 18 percent of the snaps, and Sanborn now has just two tackles on the season. The lack of playing time makes him difficult to count on in IDP leagues.

Bears' Kevin Byard: Big game in defeat

Byard tied Tremaine Edmunds for the team lead in tackles against Houston. Over the last four seasons, Byard has posted at least 100 tackles, and this performance puts the safety on pace for that level of production after he recorded just two stops in the season opener.

Edmunds recorded 11 tackles (eight solo), including a sack, in the Bears' 19-13 loss to the Texans on Sunday.
After an uncharacteristically low tackle total (four) in Week 1, Edmunds came roaring back against the Texans. In 2023, the linebacker posted 113 tackles in 15 regular-season games, and the 11 tackles Edmunds tallied this week put him back on track as a strong weekly IDP option.

Santos has been one of the most accurate kickers in the league since joining the Bears in 2020. Not only has he been perfect to start the season, but he's averaging 8.5 points over two games. Playing on an offense that has been breaking down in field-goal range, Santos may continue to be a solid weekly fantasy option.

After playing more snaps than teammate Cole Kmet in Week 1, Everett was scaled back to a 36 percent snap share in Week 2. On the season, Everett has three catches for zero yards. Everett's lack of yardage per catch makes him difficult to trust in fantasy lineups.
